Lillee Chandra, LMT, E-RYT
Lillee Chandra is a body educator with more than 20 years of experience in yoga, therapeutic massage and bodywork, competitive sports, and currently, studies in somatic psychology. Her keen intuition, exceptional hands-on, and anatomical acuity for blending the science of assessment with the art of touch, distinguish her as a go-to source for those suffering from any type chronic pain and injury. Amongst fitness and yoga communities, she is a known specialist in postural re-education, pain reduction and management.
Lillee’s approach to the body blends clinical orthopedic manual therapy with corrective exercise, self-massage and conscious self-awareness strategies. Osteopathic thai massage, advanced trainings in anatomy, human cadaver dissection studies, yoga and cranio-sacral work create her clinically diverse and integrated offering. She is presently studying presently Somatic Experiencing®, a ground-breaking somatically-inspired trauma therapy developed by Dr. Peter Levine.
Lillee is a licensed massage therapist, certified by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB), a certified yoga instructor accredited as a lead teacher trainer, and a senior teacher and trainer for Yoga Tune Up® and the Roll Model Method®. She holds a certificate in clinical orthopedic massage through Dr. Joseph Muscolino. Lillee presents at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, Princeton University, the National Endurance Sports Summit, and is a guest teacher for Equinox Fitness, Pure Yoga, and YogaWorks training programs. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, the American Massage Therapy Association, a certified Yoga Tune Up® integrated teacher, contributes to the blog and edits training curriculum for Tune Up Fitness® .
Lillee Chandra owns and operates Chandra Bodyworks, LLC, a private massage, yoga and somatic therapy practice in North Haven, CT. In addition, she is humbled and thrilled daily to parent two exuberant kids, Keaton and Leena.
